Tottenham join Liverpool in race for Porto striker Moussa Marega
Tottenham have joined Liverpool in race for Porto striker Moussa Marega, according to the football transfer rumours in Portuguese Media.
Moussa Marega has joined Porto from Marítimo for a fee in the region of 3.8 million euros in January 2016. The 25 year-old has a valid contract with Porto until the June 2020. Since July 2016, Marega was loaned to Vitória Guimarães SC until the end of the season.
After his arrival from Marítimo, Moussa Marega has scored one goal in 13 games for Porto. Marega has scored 12 goals and three assists in 22 games for Vitória Guimarães SC in all competition this season.
Marega has also represented Mali, winning seven caps.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in the Liga NOS.
The Mali international has been in fantastic form for Vitória Guimarães this season.
Moussa Marega has been target of Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp as the managers look to bolster their attacking options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Porto valuate their striker Moussa Marega around 40 million euros.
How strong that interest is and whether Tottenham and Liverpool will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
