Tottenham considering a move for Christian Eriksen

According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, Tottenham are considering a move for Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international was signed by Inter Milan in January 2020 from Tottenham for a fee of 27 million euros. The 28-year-old has a contract until 2024 with the club.
In 28 appearances for Inter, Eriksen has managed to score 4 goals, and create 3 goals for his teammates.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Denmark.
Eriksen has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 32 goals in 98 senior appearances for the Denmark national team.
The Denmark international midfielder has struggled to adapt to Italian football and he could be made available this winter.
José Mourinho is looking to shore up his midfield options and Inter Milan’s Eriksen happens to be a target.
There is no doubt that Christian Eriksen will take Tottenham’s midfield to a different level.
According to the report, “Tottenham are considering an offer for former midfielder Christian Eriksen. The Danish attacking midfielder has struggled since moving to Inter Milan in January. Now it appears he could head back to Spurs within a year, as the club is contemplating a January move for him. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club is considering a move, and even thought of bringing him back in the summer. But the arrival of Gareth Bale curbed their desire to get Eriksen. It does appear Inter want to hold onto Eriksen, but if his form does not improve in the next few months, they may be amenable to the transfer as well.”

If Eriksen is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Tottenham.
A midfielder of Christian Eriksen’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Tottenham squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of José Mourinho’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his midfield department.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Tottenham.
How strong that interest is and whether Tottenham will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
