Torino are discussing a move to sign Roberto Pereyra.
The latest reports in Italy suggest that Torino are keen on Watford forward Roberto Pereyra.
The Argentina international was signed by Watford in August 2016 from Juventus for a fee of 13 million euros. The 28-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Argentina.
As a member of Argentina national football team, Pereyra won 15 caps and he scored one goal.
His performances have seen him become the target of many Serie A clubs including Torino.
Walter Mazzarri is looking to shore up his attacking options and Watford’s Roberto Pereyra happens to be a target. He is a long term admirer of Pereyra and believes he can get the most out of the Argentina international.
The 28-year-old has the talent to play many roles in midfield and attack.
According to Football Italia, “Torino are reviving their attempts to bring Roberto Pereyra back to Serie A from Watford, according to Tuttosport. The Granata had already approached him during the January transfer window, but were rebuffed. Now Coach Walter Mazzarri is pushing again for a reunion with the player he brought to Watford from Juventus in 2016. Toro are on the verge of qualifying for the Europa League and are not out of the race for a Champions League spot either. That would bring a bigger budget and free up the cash to sign Pereyra, whose price-tag is in the region of €20m.”
