Tianjin Quanjian to make a move for Diego Costa
Tianjin Quanjian are reportedly keeping a close eye on many strikers across the Europe.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Tianjin Quanjian will make a move for Diego Costa.
The Spain international was signed by Atletico Madrid in January 2018 from Chelsea for a fee of 66 million euros. The 30-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Costa made 172 appearances across all competitions for Atletico Madrid, scoring 75 goals and supplying 30 assists in return.
The 30-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Spain.
As a member of Spain national football team, Costa won 24 caps and he scored 10 goals.
Park Choong-kyun wants to sign a new striker and Diego Costa is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
The Spain international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.
According to Football Espana, “Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian are preparing a bid to sign Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa in the new year, say reports. Diario AS cite reports in TuttoMercatoWeb and RMC Sports that the striker’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has told Los Rojiblancos his client may be on the move. In October, El Mundo carried a suggestion that Costa could leave Atleti in the winter, citing the Spain international’s contractual situation in relation to strike partner Antoine Griezmann, who earns significantly more. Costa’s salary is said stand at annual sum of €8.5m while Griezmann’s contract renewal this summer has elevated his yearly wage packet to €25m. The former Chelsea striker recently ended a nine-month scoring drought in La Liga but is said to be disillusioned at his own situation and may seek a move away.”
