The Race for Jude Bellingham Hits Peak After Glorious World Cup Display

While there is no doubt pretty much every major footballing superpower had been taking an interest in teenage England star Jude Bellingham prior to the World Cup; it’s clear that their interest is now going to get a whole lot more genuine in the coming weeks and months.

The former Birmingham City man has shown maturity beyond his years throughout his burgeoning career, and his performances in the heart of the England midfield in Qatar have shown just how much the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund man has grown, and it seems a transfer away from the German giants may well be on the cards.

Wherever Bellingham ends up, or indeed if he remains at the Westfalenstadion, the club that employs his services are sure to be worthy of a bet or two in terms of what they can expect to achieve with a monumental talent such as his in the short and medium term.

With that in mind, take a look at this list if you wish to find out all the key information about the best sports betting sites to place any particular bet you wish because one thing is for sure, wherever this England sensation plays, success is sure to follow.

Incredibly, Bellingham doesn’t turn 20 until next June, but he has already racked up over 100 top-level appearances at Dortmund, where he moved following an astute purchase the Bundesliga side made back in the summer of 2020.

So what now for the youngster? Well, the strong relationship he seems to have formed with Jordan Henderson will not have gone unnoticed. Many believe this is a deliberate attempt by Liverpool to lure the player back to England.

Then there’s the interest from Champions League holders Real Madrid, a move that may well prove more tempting for a player who has already shown he is capable of making his mark outside the confines of the Premier League.

By all accounts, Liverpool has their eye on Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez, another player who’s impressed at the 2022 World Cup, and should that move fail, then a more concerted effort to land Bellingham may come into play.

It also helps that Jurgen Klopp has his connections at Dortmund, having managed the club between 2008 and 2015, which presumably could aid their efforts.

Bellingham may feel that his long-term future may be better placed sticking it out at Borussia Dortmund. They were, after all, the club that took a punt on the player when he was just 16, and they’ve given him a regular first-team spot and will continue to do so.

However, the fact that Edin Terzic’s team are some way off the Bundesliga championship pace may prove a real issue.

No move will happen in January, as it wouldn’t suit any parties to complete a deal mid-season, and a lot will depend on what Dortmund can make from this campaign. They face Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League and are still in the DFB Pokal, so there is time for the club to show Bellingham they are still a big fish in the European football pool.
