Sporting set to sign Barcelona right-back Hector Bellerin

Hector Bellerin is getting closer to Sporting day by day as transfer talk continues to intensify.

The latest reports in Spain suggest that Sporting CP are set to sign Barcelona right-back Hector Bellerin.

The Spain international joined Barcelona from Arsenal on a free transfer in September 2022. He is under contract at Barcelona until the end of this campaign.

The right-back has featured in seven matches this term in all competitions.

The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Spain. As a member of Spain national football team, Bellerin won four caps.

The Barcelona manager does not see him in his plans and would be open to letting him leave.

Rúben Amorim is in the market for a new right-back. Amorim is eager to add a right-back to the squad. He wants an experienced player that can be a leader on and off the pitch for him.

Hector Bellerin is a skilled right-back who can make a difference at both ends of the pitch. The former Arsenal man can also play as a full-back, offering Amorim a different option should he change his formation at Sporting CP.

According to the report, “Sporting CP are eyeing Barcelona fullback Hector Bellerin. Bellerin’s time at Camp Nou could be ended sooner than expected. The player has been mostly frozen out and has the green light to leave Barcelona. Sporting need to replace Tottenham-bound fullback Pedri Porro and are looking at Bellerin.”
