Southampton join the hunt for Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Southampton are join the hunt for Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini.

Gabbiadini has joined Napoli for a reported fee in a region of 13 million euros, split equally between Sampdoria and Juventus, each team owning 50 percent of the player in 2015. The 25 year-old has a valid contract with Napoli until June 2019.

Since his arrival at Napoli, the Italia international has scored 25 goals and provided 5 assists in 79 games, including five goals in 19 games in all competition this season.

Southampton have discussed a potential deal with Napoli representatives. Euro Football Rumours were informed that the Saints could secure Manolo Gabbiadini’s services in January, but only problem is a valuation of the player and the payment method.

Euro Football Rumours understands that Napoli valuate Manolo Gabbiadini in a region of 20 million euros, but at this moment Southampton offer only 18 million euros plus 2 million euros more in bonuses.

Manolo Gabbiadini has been linked with Everton, Watford, Leicester City  and a whole host of German clubs this month, but according to Italian Media, the Saints are looking to lure the forward to Premier League in the January transfer window.
