Sevilla willing to buy Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks

According to multiple reports emanating from England, Sevilla are willing to buy Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

The England international has played all his life at Tottenham. He has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2024.

In 30 appearances last season, Winks has managed to score one goal and contributed with two assists.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Harry Winks has represented England at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 19 caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in October 2017. As a member of England national football team, Winks won 10 caps and he scored one goal.

The England international is believed to be available for transfer, with Monchi now keen to bring him to Sevilla.

The Spanish giants have built a reputation for recruiting talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

The England international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfielder Monchi wants to target in the summer transfer window.

Sevilla will have funds to spend in the market and it will be interesting to see how they approach the summer transfer window.

The England international will offer the Sevilla boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

According to the report, “Tottenham star Harry Winks is being linked with a move to La Liga giants Sevilla. The Spurs academy product is set to leave the club for a fee of roughly £20 million. According to The Sun, Sevilla are willing to secure Winks as they believe his technical ability would suit him to a career in La Liga. Winks has been with Spurs since he was six, and has played over 200 games for the club. However, he is not a favorite of manager Antonio Conte, and is seen as someone who can raise funds for other purchases. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and January signing Rodrigo Bentancur were the preferred central midfielders at the tail end of this past season for Spurs.”

A move away from Tottenham will not be only the best move for Winks, but also for the club.

Sevilla must improve their midfield options and the signing of Harry Winks would be a step in the right direction.

Winks has all the skillset required to be a success story at Sevilla. Therefore, it makes sense for Monchi to step up his attempts to bring the England midfielder to La Liga side.
