Pablo Machín is looking to shore up his attacking options and Lyon’s Mariano Diaz happens to be a target. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

Sevilla are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Espana (via Diario AS), “Sevilla are set to pay a club record €40m to sign former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz from Olympique Lyonnais. Diario AS say the record bid is likely to convince Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas, a notoriously tough negotiator, only a year after the Dominican joined the French club in an €8m deal.”
