Sampdoria looking to loan Everton striker Moise Kean

There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Moise Kean in the last period.

The latest reports in Italy suggest that Sampdoria are looking to loan Everton striker Moise Kean.

The Italy international joined Everton from Juventus for a fee in the region of 27.5 million euros in August 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.

This season, Kean has provided only one assist in 11 appearances for Everton.

The 19-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Italy. As a member of Italy national football team, Kean won 3 caps and he scored 2 goals.

Claudio Ranieri is looking to shore up his attacking options and Everton’s Moise Kean happens to be a target. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.

Sampdoria are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

Moise Kean is a dynamic striker, who possesses good technical skills and ball control.

According to Forza Italian Football, “Everton striker Moise Kean is a wanted figure, with Sampdoria the latest side to show interest in the Italian. The 19-year-old has failed to settle at Goodison Park since making a €27.5 million move over the summer, and recent reports have linked him with a return to Italy. AC Milan have been mentioned as a possible landing spot but they aren’t the only Serie A side to show interest, with Telenord stating Sampdoria are also in the mix. While it’s unclear whether Everton would be willing to part with the talented youngster so soon after signing him, it’s believed the Blucerchiati would be happy to land him on a six-month loan. His signing would no doubt help a misfiring Sampdoria attack, as the Blucerchiati have managed just seven goals in 12 matches – worst in the league.”

It will be interesting to see if there’s any truth to this rumor.

Sampdoria would likely much prefer a more experienced striker who can provide an immediate impact on the pitch.

However, there’s one slight problem with this, Everton still need Moise Kean. He may not be Everton’s first-choice striker, but he is an excellent back-up.

How strong that interest is and whether Sampdoria will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
