Roma need to strengthen their midfield this winter.
Italian source report that Roma will look to sign Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
Celtic spent 5 million euros to sign the France international from Manchester City in the summer of 2017. The 23-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.
Ntcham made 105 appearances across all competitions for Celtic, scoring 19 goals and supplying 10 assists in return.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 23-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
Olivier Ntcham has represented France at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 54 caps and scoring 7 goals.
Paulo Fonseca wants to sign a new midfielder and Ntcham is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The Roma manager has been impressed by his performances this season and could make a move this winter.
Olivier Ntcham has the talent to play many roles in midfield.
According to Football Italia, “Roma are reportedly among a clutch of clubs interested in signing Celtic midfielder Oliver Ntcham this January. Tuttomercatoweb claims the Frenchman, who previously played for Genoa, is on the Giallorossi’s radar after two impressive displays against Lazio in the Europa League. The 23-year-old scored the winner in Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Biancocelesti several weeks ago. However, TMW warns Ntcham is also being tracked by the likes of Valencia and Sporting CP. ”

Roma will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Olivier Ntcham to join the club.
