Roma are planning a move for Nacho Fernandez.
The Spain international has scored nine goals in 148 games for Real Madrid since joining the club.
Nacho Fernandez has represented Spain at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning seven caps, before making his senior international debut in September 2013. As a member of Spain national football team, Fernandez won 14 caps.
Roma are in the market for a new defender when the transfer window reopens.
The report claims that Roma sporting director Monchi has extensively scouted Nacho Fernandez and is considering a move for the defender.
Roma will be desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Espana via Corriere dello Sport, “Roma have reignited their interest in Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez with a view to a summer move. Corriere dello Sport states Roma have restarted their interest in the versatile defender, who is most comfortable at the heart of the defence but can also play on the right side. Nacho’s current deal at the Spanish and European champions runs until June 2020, but Roma’s sporting director Monchi is said to be extremely keen on his signature.”

Real Madrid are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the defender, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
How strong that interest is and whether Roma will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
