The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Argentina. Fernandez has represented Argentina at Under-20 level, winning two caps.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Wolverhampton.

Bruno Lage is looking to shore up his midfield options and Enzo Fernandez happens to be a target.

Wolves are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old will add more quality to Wolverhampton’s midfield.

According to the report, “Wolves are facing a lot of competition in their bid to sign Argentine playmaker Enzo Fernandez. The River Plate star is emerging as one of the hottest prospects in South America. The 21-year-old could be available for around £17.5 million this summer. Wolves are hoping to close in on a deal in the coming weeks, according to the Daily Mail. However, they may have to fend off Portuguese giants Benfica to secure Fernandez. If he does move to the Premier League, Fernandez would join former River teammate Julian Alvarez, who has signed for Manchester City.”
