Espanyol left-back Aaron Martin Caricol has emerged as a surprise target for Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media, Real Madrid are tracking Espanyol left-back Aaron Caricol.
Aaron Caricol has joined Espanyol from RCD Espanyol B in 2016. The 19 year-old has a valid contract with Espanyol until June 2022.
Since his arrival from RCD Espanyol B, Aaron Caricol has played 20 games for Espanyol in all competitions this season.
The 19-year-old is considered to be one of the most talented left-backs in Spain.
Aaron Caricol has represented Spain at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level, winning 22 caps and scoring two goals.
The Spain international is a player who has impressed many European Clubs in the last season, and it is understood that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane would prefer playing him as a left-back. Caricol would be perfect competition for Nacho on left-back possition next season.
How strong that interest is and whether Real Madrid will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
