According to the football transfer rumours in British and Spanish media, Real Madrid are linked with surprise move for Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon.

Tottenham reportedly paid Real Madrid 30 million euros for Sergio Reguilon earlier this year. The 23-year-old has a valid contract with Tottenham until June 2025.

The left-back has provided two assists in four matches for Tottenham this term on all fronts.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Spain.

Sergio Reguilon has represented Spain at Under-21 level, winning one cap, before making his senior international debut in September 2020. As a member of Spain national football team, Reguilon won three caps.

Zinedine Zidane needs to tighten up his defense and a left-back would be a welcome addition.

Sergio Reguilon has the talent to play many roles in defense and midfield.

According to the report, “Real Madrid are already exploring the prospect of buying back Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham. Madrid are concerned over Marcelo’s form and could look to buy Reguilon when the clause becomes active next summer.”

Reguilon is very highly rated in Spain and he could be a superb long term signing for Real.
