Real are known for going under the radar and signing some hidden gems.
It’s claimed by British media that Real Madrid are linked with Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has played all his life at Fulham. He has made his way through the youth system at the English club and made his senior debut in 2020.
He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in England. Carvalho has represented England at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level, winning 29 caps and scoring two goals.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Real are looking to sign a attacking midfielder and have identified the 19-year-old as potential transfer target. They have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
Fabio Carvalho would provide a good variety to Real’s attack.
According to the report, “Real Madrid are interested in Fulham teenage attacker Fabio Carvalho. The Daily Mail says the England youth international is widely recognized as one of the brightest young players in the country. The 19-year-old has already scored three goals in five games so far this season and is viewed as a vital member of Marco Silva’s plans to regain promotion back into the Premier League. However, his performances have attracted huge attention from England and abroad leaving Fulham facing the prospect of losing the youngster. Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Carvalho, while a number of top 10 Premier League clubs are also interested.”

It would take a huge offer from Real to prise the 19-year-old attacking midfielder from Fulham.
Good signing for Real Madrid?
It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
Carvalho is still quite young and he will only get better with experience. He would be a good long term investment for Real.
How strong that interest is and whether Real will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
