The England international has joined Arsenal from Luton Town in 2001. The 25-year-old has a valid contract with Arsenal until June 2018.

The 25-year-old has represented England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 19 caps, before making his senior international debut in August 2010. As a member of England national football team, Wilshere has won 34 caps and has scored two goals.
The midfielder’s contract at Arsenal is about to expire and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Real Betis showing the most concrete interest in an attempt to lure the player to their team.

According to the report in British media, Wilshere is in the final year of his 105,000 euros-per-week agreement but has yet to open talks over fresh terms with Arsenal, but Real Betis have made contact with his representatives about free transfer move next summer. The England international is open to moving to La Liga on a free transfer.
How strong that interest is and whether Real Betis will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
