Paris Saint-Germain set to sign Napoli midfielder Allan

As the winter transfer window comes closer and closer Paris Saint-Germain are being linked with more and more potential transfers.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Paris Saint-Germain are set to sign Napoli midfielder Allan.

The Brazil international was signed by Napoli in July 2015 from Udinese for a fee of 11.5 million euros. The 27-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.

Allan made 154 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, scoring 8 goals and supplying 19 assists in return.

As a member of Brazil national football team, Allan won one cap.

His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

Thomas Tuchel is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.

Allan has the talent to play many roles in midfield.

According to Calciomercato, ” PSG are indeed serious in their pursuit of Napoli’s Brazilian star, Allan. In the last couple of season, the midfielder has really shown his qualities not only to the Serie A crowd, but also to other potential suitors. In fact, as reported by Corriere Dello Sport, PSG plan to make a move for Allan, having already met the parties involved in Rome. Napoli consider him unsellable, but PSG didn’t let that stop them as a €50m offer was put on the table. The idea of the French club is to close immediately, bringing the Brazilian to manager Tuchel already in January. This would give the German coach an important alternative in midfield, also in a Champions League perspective.”

A big money bid from PSG could tempt Napoli into selling their prized asset.

Signing the 27-year-old in the winter transfer window would be a masterstroke from Tuchel.

It will be interesting to see whether Paris Saint-Germain will make their move during the winter transfer window.
