Olympiakos tipped to sign Nottingham Forest left-back Harry Toffolo

The defensive department of the Olympiakos squad needs quality additions this winter.

The reports in England suggested that Olympiakos are tipped to sign Nottingham Forest left-back Harry Toffolo.

Nottingham spent 2.4 million euros to sign the England international from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2022. He has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2026.

The left-back has featured in 10 matches for Nottingham Forest this term in all competitions.

Harry Toffolo has represented England at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning seven caps.

He is 27-year-old and has his peak years ahead.

Harry Toffolo is currently out of favor at Nottingham and could leave the club this winter.

Míchel is eager to add a left-back to the squad. He wants an experienced player that can be a leader on and off the pitch for him. Someone with Harry Toffolo’s skillset will undoubtedly add more quality to Míchel‘s defense.

Olympiakos are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The former Huddersfield Town man is comfortable playing out from the back and given Míchel’s demands, that would fit in perfectly with his tactics. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report, “Nottingham Forest full-back Harry Toffolo is being linked with a move away from the club. The 27-year-old was out with a hamstring injury prior to the World Cup, but is back to full fitness. Per the Nottingham Post, the experienced defender is now being linked to Olympiakos in Greece. The left-back has not been a regular, despite only signing for the club in the summer. He has been in and out of the team, and may believe that a move elsewhere would give him regular first-team football. There is no suggestion in the report about Forest being willing to part with a player they signed in the summer.”
