Norwich and Reading linked with a move for Manchester City centre-back Joel Latibeaudiere

It is an open secret that Norwich and Reading need to sign a centre-back.

Norwich and Reading are reportedly holding intense negotiations with Manchester City in order to sign Joel Latibeaudiere in this transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in England.

Latibeaudiere has represented England at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning 23 caps.

The Premier League player is highly talented and he has a big future ahead of himself.

But, he is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by City this autumn and the list of suitors in the England Under-20 international continues to grow.

Both Championship teams are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

According to the report, “Manchester City defender Joel Latibeaudiere is set to cut ties with the club. The Manchester Evening News says Latibeaudiere is in talks with Norwich and Reading as he appears to be nearing an exit from City. Latibeaudiere, 20, will leave the Etihad before the domestic transfer deadline for EFL clubs, with a permanent deal expected to be completed early next week. Latibeaudiere spent last season on loan at FC Twente.”
