According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Newcastle United are linked with surprise move for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

The England international was signed by Liverpool in July 2014 from Southampton for a fee of 31 million euros. The 31-year-old has a contract until 2020 with the club.

Lallana has scored one goal and assisted two more across all competitions this season.

Given that his contract is expiring soon and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in recent weeks.

Any businesses in January though is likely to be dependent on whether club decides to sell Dwight Gayle.”
