According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Newcastle United are linked with surprise move for Lyon winger Bertrand Traore.
The 24-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Lyon spent 10 million euros to sign the Burkina Faso international from Chelsea in the summer of 2017. The 24-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.
This season, Traore has scored four goals and provided five assists in 34 appearances for Lyon.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 24-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
His record for Burkina Faso is also impressive. Traore has scored 8 goals in 52 matches for Burkina Faso at senior level.
Traore has been in impressive form for Lyon this season and it looks like he caught the eye of many European clubs including Newcastle United.
Steve Bruce needs to tighten up his attack and a winger would be a welcome addition. He is a long term admirer of Bertrand Traore and believes he can get the most out of the Burkina Faso international.
The 24-year-old will offer the Newcastle boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
