Napoli will look to sign Agustin Almendra
There has been numerous midfielders linked with Napoli in past few months.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Napoli will look to sign Boca Juniors midfielder Agustín Almendra.
The 19-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Argentina.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Napoli.
Napoli have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within South America, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
The Argentina international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfielder Carlo Ancelotti wants to target in the summer transfer window.
Almendra would provide a good variety to Napoli’s midfield.
According to Calciomercato (via TNT Sports), “Napoli does not give up Almendra, according to TNT Sports, the Neapolitans are very interested in the Boca Juniors midfielder and are ready to offer 20 million euros to the Argentine. The 19-year-old is a product of the Boca youth academy and has made 15 appearances this season from midfield, scoring and assisting 1 goal each.”

A move away from Boca Juniors will not be only the best move for Almendra, but also for the club.
Signing the 19-year-old would be a masterstroke from Carlo Ancelotti.
Whether or not this is the end for Agustín Almendra in Boca Juniors remains to be seen. If the move goes through as reported, then it would be a fantastic deal for all parties involved.
Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for Napoli.
