Napoli are interested in Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.
After having already turned down Napoli at the summer transfer window, Italian striker was about to pen a new contract for Genoa, but the negotiations stall.
Outline of a deal for the 28 year-old Genoa striker is already on the table ahead of the January transfer window, including in a region of 1.2 million euro salary for the player.
Genoa striker has scored just three goals in 9 appearances so far this season, but according to the rumours in Italian Media, main problem at this moment is Pavoletti’s injury.
Once Italy international striker recovers and proves his fitness, the deal is expected to go through.
How strong that interest is and whether Napoli will make a January move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
