Napoli have reportedly reached an agreement with Lucas Torreira

It’s claimed by Italian media that Napoli have reached an agreement with Sampdoria defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguay international joined Sampdoria from Pescara for a fee in the region of 2 million euros in July 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.
Lucas Torreira has played 65 times for Sampdoria since signing from Pescara, scoring four goals and creating four assists in that time.
The 22-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Uruguay.
Lucas Torreira will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Sampdoria this term.
The Uruguay international has impressed in Serie A this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
Maurizio Sarri is looking to shore up his midfield options and Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira happens to be a target.
Napoli have built a reputation for recruiting young talent, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

According to Football Italia (via Corriere dello Sport) , “Napoli have reportedly agreed terms with Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira but must now decide whether to pay his €25m release clause. According to Corriere dello Sport, Torreira has accepted Napoli’s offer of a five-year contract worth €1.5m a season. It would now be left to the two clubs to agree a fee, although the midfielder’s €25m release clause gives Samp some leverage.”
A move away from Sampdoria will not be only the best move for Lucas Torreira, but also for the club.
