Faouzi Ghoulam is a long-term target of Marseille and could be a decent addition for Villas-Boas’ side.

There is no doubt that Ghoulam will take Marseille’s defense to a different level.

According to Football Italia, “Faouzi Ghoulam could leave Napoli in the January transfer window, with Olympique Marseille interested in the left-back, reports La Repubblica. The Algerian has struggled to regain the form he showed prior to rupturing his ACL against Manchester City in the Champions League two seasons ago. Ghoulam has been in and out of the starting XI ever since, as he’s tried to make his way back to full fitness. Now, La Repubblica writes Partenopei boss Rino Gattuso has asked the club for a new left-back to give competition to regular Mario Rui.”
