Manchester United monitoring Yannick Carrasco
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Yannick Carrasco in the last period.
According to multiple reports emanating from Spain, Manchester United are monitoring Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.
The Belgium international joined Atletico Madrid from Dalian Professional for a fee in the region of 27 million euros in September 2020. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The winger has registered 4 goals and 2 assists in 27 matches for Atletico Madrid this season on all fronts.
He is considered to be one of the best wingers in Belgium. Carrasco has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 8 goals in 62 senior appearances for the Belgium national team.
Yannick Carrasco is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Atletico this summer and the list of suitors in the Belgium international continues to grow.
The Red Devils are looking to sign a winger and have identified the 29-year-old as potential transfer target.
Erik ten Hag is a firm fan of Atletico Madrid winger and Manchester United could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense. Carrasco is a long-term target of Manchester United and could be a decent addition for Erik ten Hag’s side.
The former Dalian Professional man has got the skillset to give Ten Hag more options in the final third.
According to the report, “Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco remains a Manchester United target for the coming summer. The Spaniards are already said to have set up a deal with Barcelona for the Belgium star, 29. But AS says United also have one eye on the 62-cap ace, having considered him in January. Carrasco only has 18 months left on his Atletico deal and it’s claimed his standing under boss Diego Simeone has dipped. He’s rated at around 20million euros nearly £18m.”

Undoubtedly, he would be a fantastic recruit for United. They in particular need to sort out a winger for the next season and the 29-year-old could be a solid signing for them.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit at Old Trafford.
