Manchester United looking to loan Ousmane Dembele
Manchester United appear to have taken a step forward in their pursuit of Ousmane Dembele.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Manchester United are looking to loan Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
The France international was signed by Barcelona in August 2017 from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of 138 million euros. The 23-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.
The winger has featured in only 9 matches for Barcelona last term, netting one goal in all competitions.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in France.
The Barcelona winger has also represented the France at various youth levels before going on to secure 21 senior caps for his country thus far.
Dembele is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Barcelona this autumn and the list of suitors in the France international continues to grow.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær wants to sign a new winger and Dembele is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Dembele is a long-term target of United and could be a decent addition for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side.
Manchester United are desperate to make an impact in this transfer window.
There is no doubt that Dembele will take United’s attack to a different level.
According to the report, “Manchester United are considering a loan move for Ousmane Dembele as an alternative to Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund are yet to receive an offer for Sancho, who has long been United’s priority signing. But the German club are not budging on their €120m asking price for the England international. Barcelona winger Dembele is one of the players the club have considered as a back-up, according to Goal. The deal would likely only be temporary and will only be pursued if United are convinced they cannot sign Sancho before the October 5 deadline.”
