The reports in England suggested that Manchester United are linked with fresh move for Marc-Andre ter Stegen if they lose David de Gea.
The Germany international was signed by Barcelona in July 2014 from Borussia Mönchengladbach for a fee of 12 million euros. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.
Since his arrival from Borussia Mönchengladbach, Marc-Andre ter Stegen has conceded 120 goals and provided 59 clean sheets in 137 games for Barcelona.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Germany.
The Germany international has been in impressive form this season.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has represented Germany at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 50 caps, before making his senior international debut in May 2012. As a member of Germany national football team, Marc-Andre ter Stegen won 19 caps.
The Manchester United manager will be in the market for a new goalkeeper when the transfer window reopens if he lose the Spain International goalkeeper.
The report claims that Manchester United manager has extensively scouted Marc-Andre ter Stegen and is considering a move for the goalkeeper.
The Germany international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of goalkeeper Jose Mourinho wants to target in the summer transfer window.
According to Teamtalk (via Don Balon), “Manchester United will make a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, claim Don Balon. Jose Mourinho remains fearful that David de Gea will move to Real Madrid in the summer, despite Florentino Perez this week publicly backing current Real No. 1 Keylor Navas.”

Barcelona are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the goalkeeper, but offers of at least 150 million euros may force the club to consider a deal.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is a Barcelona player and will remain one until at least the end of this season.
