According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Manchester United are in advanced talks to bring Thiago Almada.
The 19-year-old midfielder has played all his life at Velez Sarsfield. He has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2023.
The midfielder has banged in 9 goals and provided 4 assists in 46 matches for Velez Sarsfield this term on all fronts.
The 19-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Argentina.
Thiago Almada has represented Argentina at Under-20 level, winning 7 caps and scoring one goal.
The Argentina international has impressed this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.

A recent report also suggested that Arsenal are in the running for his signature, with Mikel Arteta ordering a January swoop. However, it would appear that United are in the hotseat to win the race for a player who will cost in the region of €20million. If Almada does make the move to Old Trafford, he will likely compete with another United new boy Facundo Pellistri in trying to break into the first-team ranks.”
