The Red Devils are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

According to the report, “Manchester United are considering a move for Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann. The Austria international is available for a cut price fee after the Hornets’ relegation to the Championship. Manager Erik ten Hag wants a reliable backup to shot stopper David de Gea for next season. Current no.2 Dean Henderson is likely to join Nottingham Forest on a loan deal. Goal.com states that Bachmann would be available for around £4 million this summer. The keeper is keen to join United and would be happy to play second fiddle to de Gea.”

If Manchester United can agree on a fee with Watford, the deal should be easy to complete.

It is claimed that Watford are open to letting Bachmann go.

Good signing for Manchester United?

If Bachmann is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for United.

Daniel Bachmann has all the skillset required to be a success story at Manchester United. Therefore, it makes sense for Ten Hag to step up his attempts to bring the Austria goalkeeper to Premier League side.

If Ten Hag sees him as the right man for his side, Manchester United should quickly make a move to fend off interest from other clubs.
