Manchester City attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz is a target for Real Madrid.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Manchester City prodigy Brahim Diaz is interesting Real president Florentino Perez.

The Spain international has joined Manchester City from Málaga for a fee in the region of 350,000 euros in July 2013. The 18-year-old has a valid contract with Manchester City until June 2019.

Since his arrival from Málaga, Brahim Diaz has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in 26 games for Manchester City U23.

The 18-year-old is considered to be one of the best young attacking midfielders in Spain.

Diaz has represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 14 caps and scoring 3 goals.

The attacking midfielder’s contract at Manchester City is about to expire in 20 months and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Real Madrid showing the most concrete interest in an attempt to lure the player to their team.

Florentino Perez wants to sign a new attacking midfielder this winter and Brahim Diaz is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He has always been a president who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players in Spain.

Real Madrid will be desperate to make an impact in winter transfer window.

According to the report in British media, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is now switching his focus to Manchester City prodigy Brahim Diaz. The attacking midfielder, enjoys a huge reputation in Spain, but is yet to force his way into Pep Guardiola’s senior plans.

How strong that interest is and whether Real Madrid will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
