Manchester City enter talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for Fred, according to the football transfer rumours in British media.
The Brazil international was signed by Shakhtar Donetsk in July 2013 from Internacional for a fee of 15.8 million euros. The 24-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Fred has played 142 times for Shakhtar Donetsk since signing from Internacional, scoring 13 goals and creating 12 assists in that time.
Manchester City are scouting the 24-year-old, who has been in considerably outstanding form for Shakhtar Donetsk in recent times.
Fred has represented Brazil at Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning seven caps, before making his senior international debut in November 2014. As a member of Brazil national football team, Fred won six caps.
