Liverpool willing to buy Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir
In the modern world of football, the transfer season lasts year-round. While the literal transfers of players take place in the summer and winter windows, rumors, speculation and even concrete agreements can happen any time.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Liverpool are willing to buy Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has played all his life at Trabzonspor. He has made his way through the youth system at the Turkish club and made his senior debut in 2015.
Cakir has conceded 125 goals and provided 24 clean sheets in 106 games for Trabzonspor.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in Turkey.
The Trabzonspor goalkeeper has also represented the Turkey at various youth levels before going on to secure 6 senior caps for his country thus far.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Liverpool.
The Reds are looking to sign a goalkeeper and have identified the 24-year-old as potential transfer target.
Jürgen Klopp is a firm fan of Trabzonspor goalkeeper and Liverpool could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense. He is a long term admirer of Cakir and believes he can get the most out of the Turkey international.
Liverpool are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to the report,”Liverpool are ready to push through a move for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir. The Daily Express says the Reds sent scouts to watch Cakir line up against Erling Haaland’s Norway in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday but instead of firming up their interest in the red-hot striker, they left more impressed with the Trabzonspor stopper. After keeping the 20-year-old scoring sensation at bay with an impressive display between the sticks, Sabah Sport indicate Liverpool are now lining up a £14.5m summer bid for Cakir. Liverpool are reported to have been monitoring 24-year-old for some time as they looks to find a suitable back-up to No 1 Alisson Becker. Cakir has 10 clean sheets for his club this season, and that form continued for his country as he finished the game without being beaten. The report in the Express revealed Chelsea had shown interest in the stopper in the summer, but opted for Edouard Mendy instead. It was not only Liverpool who were present for the World Cup Qualifier, with RB Leipzig and Sevilla also travelling to Malaga for the Group G match.”

Trabzonspor are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the goalkeeper, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

The 24-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Liverpool squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.
The Reds should do everything in their power to sign the in-demand Ugurcan Cakir, who has all the qualities to be a success at the club.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can beat their rivals to the goalkeeper’s signature.
