Reports in the British media claim that Liverpool are pushing to sign Chelsea defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The France international joined Chelsea from Leicester City for a fee in the region of 35.8 million euros in July 2016. He is under contract at Chelsea until the end of this campaign.

The defensive midfielder has featured in only two matches for Chelsea this term in all competitions.

He is considered to be one of the best defensive midfielders in France. His record for France is impressive. Kante has scored 2 goals in 53 matches for France at senior level.

Given that his contract is expiring soon and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in the last two days.
