According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media (AS), Liverpool make bid for Lyon defender Emanuel Mammana.
The Argentina international has joined Lyon from River Plate for a fee in the region of 8.5 million euros in July 2016. The 21-year-old has a valid contract with Lyon until June 2021.
Since his arrival from River Plate, Emanuel Mammana has scored one goal in 25 games for Lyon in all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old is considered to be one of the best defenders in Argentina.
Emanuel Mammana has represented Argentina at Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 26 caps, before making his senior international debut in June 2014. As a member of Argentina national football team, Emanuel Mammana has won one cap.

According to the report in Spanish Media, the Reds make 17 million euros bid for Lyon defender. Liverpool are offering a five-year contract to the Argentina international, worth in the region of 63,000 euros-a-week.
How strong that interest is and whether Liverpool will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
