The 19-year-old is considered to be one of the best attackers in Brazil.

Vinicius Junior has represented Brazil at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 29 caps and scoring 23 goals, before making his senior international debut in September 2019. As a member of Brazil national football team, Vinicius Junior won one cap.

Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a new attacker and Vinicius Junior is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.

The Liverpool manager is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

The Brazil international arrival would give Liverpool some much needed tactical flexibility.

According to the report, “Liverpool have made a move for Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior. Okdiario says Liverpool have made contact with Vinicius Junior over a proposed transfer this summer. Jurgen Klopp has made the 19-year-old forward a ‘main priority’ with the German boss a fan of his talent and is now keen for Liverpool to pursue him. Vinicius is also said to be an admirer of Klopp’s work and knows Liverpool previously made enquiries for his services last year. Liverpool, along with PSG, have now reportedly contacted the player’s representatives to sound out the possibility of a deal. Vinicius made his breakthrough at Real this season with Eden Hazard out injured and has four goals to his name in all competitions. However, with Hazard and Marco Asensio now both available for when La Liga returns later this month, he finds himself battling for a starting spot.”

Real are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the attacker, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Good signing for Liverpool?

The Brazil international will definitely be a good addition to the Liverpool side, which will be competing in the Champions League next season.

This could be a very interesting move, Vinicius Jr. has lots of potential and Liverpool could be the perfect place for him to develop as a player.

Liverpool fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can beat their rivals to the attacker’s signature.
