Lionel Messi To End His Career At Barcelona Sources Suggest

 

 

Lionel Messi is widely considered as one of the best football players in the world and has a huge number of records to his name. However, with a few spats between him and the club, many were wondering whether or not he would stay at the club at the end of the year. However, with the club allowing him to go freely if he wanted to, it looks as though he may be remaining with the club for the rest of this procedure. In this article, we will be looking into what Lionel Messi in the near future.

The Beginning Of The La Liga Season

With La Liga being back on our screens many fans around the world could not be happier to see a return to normal in 2020. With the return of this league comes an ongoing title battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona for the championship. Since moving up the ranks of the Youth team at FC Barcelona, the star quickly made his name known in the team by becoming the youngest player to score a goal for the team at the age of just 16. These achievements, however, did not stop there. With the La Liga, Champions League and Spanish Super Cups all under their belt in 2009, Messi continued to rack up the trophies and awards for the club as well as some of his own. But it did not stop there.  As his career in both the FC Barcelona Club and Argentina National Team continued to develop, his achievements only continued.

Widely considered as one of the best football players in the world, Messi has often been compared to Diego Maradona due to his height, speed and overall ability. This direct comparison is not without reason though as Messi currently holds the record for the most goals scored not only in the La Liga championship but also in the Spanish Super Cup and Supercopa de España. This is part of what makes him great. But how did Messi go from playing football as a young boy in Argentina to being a Spanish football superstar?

The Beginning At Barcelona

Messi’s career in football started as a young boy growing up in Argentina, it is said that Messi would play football alongside his younger brothers and found his love for the game playing with the older kids out on the pitch. From there, the love of the game developed when he joined a Rosario based club at the age of 8.

He continued to play at this club and hone his talents during this time however, it was discovering that he had a hormone deficiency that stunted his growth. As a result, his parents begun to administer nightly hormone injections to ensure the health of their son. However, medication was expensive for the family. However, this did not hinder Messi in any way. As he continued to prove his value as an amazing football player, he continued to score and play the game that he loved. As a result, at 13 he got an offer to train at Barcelona with all his medical bills paid for. He continued to excel at the club with his height, speed and skill set providing to be a valuable weapon for the team which he has been with ever since.

A Chance To Leave For Free This Summer

Despite spending his entire career in Football at Barcelona, the most recent contract for the superstar stated that he was free to go should he wish to at the end of the La Liga season. However, with the passing date coming and going, Messi is more than happy to play out the rest of his career at Barcelona. With several amazing payers coming up through the ranks and a team-building that is set to continue to show the team in an amazing light, Messi can play alongside any of the players and come out on top in terms of goals scored. When asked by Spanish TV network Movistar about the relationship that the club and Messi have at this time, club president Josep Maria Bartomeu had this to say:

“I’m not going to explain the details because we are focused on the competition and we are negotiating with many players, but Messi has explained to us that he wants to stay and so we’re going to enjoy him for much longer.”

This is great for not only fans of Messi, but also great for those that are hoping for many more championships and international cup titles in the near future.
