Leicester City rumored to be interested in Leroy Sane
It is an open secret that Leicester need to sign a winger.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Leicester City are interested in Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.
Bayern spent 45 million euros to sign the Germany international from Manchester City in the summer of 2020. The 25-year-old has four years left on his current contract which expires in 2025.
The winger has banged in one goal and provided 3 assists in 5 matches for Bayern this term on all fronts.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Germany. His record for Germany is also impressive. Sane has scored 8 goals in 36 matches for Germany at senior level.
Adding a winger remains Leicester’s top priority this winter and Brendan Rodgers will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming months.
Rodgers is a firm fan of Bayern winger and Leicester could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.
The Foxes are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The Germany international will offer the Leicester boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

With deadline day signing Ademola Lookman only available to the Foxes temporarily, City will likely already be at work scouting out potential options to bring into the club permanently as soon as this winter when the January transfer window opens in four months. A familiar face that should perhaps be a wildcard on Rodgers’ shortlist of targets is former Manchester City winger Sane. Whilst no formal link has been made between the Foxes and the Bayern Munich man, it is a suggestion that makes plenty of sense due to the German international’s current circumstances in Bavaria.”
