Leeds United willing to buy Manchester United winger Daniel James

The attacking department of the Leeds squad needs quality additions this summer.

As per British media, Leeds United are willing to buy Manchester United winger Daniel James.

The Wales international joined Manchester United from Swansea City for a fee in the region of 17.8 million euros in July 2019. The 23-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2024.

In 72 appearances for United, James has managed to score 9 goals, and create 9 goals for his teammates.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Wales. James has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 4 goals in 24 senior appearances for the Wales national team.

It is evident that Manchester United manager does not see him as a key part of his plans.

Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign a new winger and James is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.

The Whites are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

Daniel James can play multiple positions in attack. His arrival would give Leeds some much needed tactical flexibility.

According to the report, “Manchester United winger Dan James remains on Leeds United’s radar. The Athletic reports Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is apparently looking to add another winger to his team and sees James as the ideal option. Leeds almost signed James when still with Swansea City in January 2019. The 23-year-old could suffer from less game time at United next season due to the imminent arrival of Jadon Sancho, meaning it could be a prime opportunity for the Whites to lure the Welsh international to Yorkshire.”

Leeds will have to come up with the right proposal to convince James to join the club.

The Red Devils are preparing to sell their winger should they receive right offer for him.

Daniel James ideal fit for Leeds United?

If James is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Leeds.

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.

A move to Leeds is exactly what Daniel James needs to reignite his career, and we hope he is able to do just that.

If Bielsa sees him as the right man for his side, Leeds should quickly make a move to fend off interest from other clubs.
