Leeds United are planning a move for Tyler Adams.
The latest reports in England suggest that Leeds United have entered talks with RB Leipzig for Tyler Adams.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The United States international joined RB Leipzig from New York Red Bulls for a fee in the region of 2.63 million euros in January 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2025.
In 101 appearances for Leipzig, Adams has managed to score two goals, and create four goals for his teammates.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in United States. Adams has also left his mark at the international stage after netting one goal in 19 senior appearances for the United States national team.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Leeds.
Jesse Marsch wants to sign a new midfielder and Tyler Adams is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
Leeds United are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The former New York Red Bulls man will add a new dimension to Leeds United’s midfield.
According to the report, “Leeds United have opened talks with RB Leipzig to sign Tyler Adams. The Whites are looking for replacements for Kalvin Phillips, who is on the verge of joining Manchester City. According to the Daily Mail, talks of a £12m transfer for Adams have commenced. The USA international has also drawn interest from Everton. Leeds also want Bruges’ highly-rated attacking midfielder Charles de Ketelaere.”
