Lazio rumored to be interested in Fabian Ruiz
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Fabian Ruiz in the last period.
The reports in Spain suggested that Lazio are interested in Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
Ruiz made 48 appearances across all competitions for Real Betis, scoring two goals and supplying six assists in return.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Spain.
Lazio are scouting the 21-year-old, who has been in considerably outstanding form for Real Betis in recent times.
Fabian Ruiz has represented Spain at Under-21 level, winning three caps and scoring one goal.
Simone Inzaghi wants to sign a new midfielder and Ruiz is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Inzaghi has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.
Lazio will be desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Espana (via El Mundo Deportivo), “The 21-year-old signed a new long-term contract with Los Verdiblancos until June 2023 last month, which reportedly will see his release clause double from 15 million euros to 30 million euros. However, a report in El Mundo Deportivo states the Rome-based club would be willing to trigger the increased release clause due to the imminent sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The report indicates Lazio ‘have taken a significant liking’ to the Andalucian, a product of the Betis youth system, who has also reportedly been scouted by the club’s rivals Roma.”
While many believe Fabian Ruiz to be a promising young talent, others find him extremely overrated.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Lazio.

How strong that interest is and whether Lazio will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
