Lazio join Leicester in race for Liverpool playmaker
Adam Lallana is a target for Lazio in the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Lazio have joined Leicester in race for Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana.
The 31-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Liverpool spent 31 million euros to sign the England international from Southampton in the summer of 2014. The 31-year-old has a valid contract with Liverpool until June 2020.
In 75 appearances for Liverpool, Lallana has managed to score 22 goals, and create 22 goals for his teammates.
Simone Inzaghi is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
Adam Lallana would provide a good variety to Lazio’s midfield.
According to the report, “Leicester look set to be in a battle with Serie A outfit Lazio in their bid to sign Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana this summer. That’s according to Italian Sports Journalist Nicolò Schira, who claims that the Rome-based outfit are trying to tempt the 31-year-old to Italy. Lallana is expected to move on this summer, with his contract expiring at the end of June, despite having an option for a further year. However, it would appear that the Reds do not seem keen on extending his stay at the club, despite comments from Jurgen Klopp that he would like the former Southampton star to remain at Anfield. And according to Schira, Lazio view Lallana as a creative replacement for former Reds winger Luis Alberto – who is viewed as a very similar player but is currently on the sidelines with injury. Lazio have had great success in signing Liverpool players in recent years – with both Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva signing for small fees and turning into key performers for Simone Inzaghi’s men.”

Lazio will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Lallana to join the club.
The 31-year-old would be a very good addition for Lazio and they can afford him as well.
Will Adam Lallana be a Lazio player soon? Only time will tell.
