Lazio in advanced talks to bring Club Brugge forward Wesley Moraes
Club Brugge forward Wesley Moraes is a target for Lazio in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Lazio are in advanced talks to bring Wesley Moraes.
The Brazil international was signed by Club Brugge in January 2016 from Trenčín for a fee of 1 million euros. The 22-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
This season, Moraes has scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 appearances for Club Brugge.
The 22-year-old has long been touted as one of Brazil’s most promising young talents.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Lazio.
The Lazio manager has kept an eye on Moraes for the last period and he is impressed with the forward’s performances.
Lazio are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Wesley Moraes has the talent to play many roles in attack.
According to Calciomercato (via Il Messaggero), “According to what has been reported by Il Messaggero, Lazio are edging ever closer to completing a deal for Club Brugge forward Wesley Moraes. The reports suggest that Lazio’s current offer is €18m plus an additional €3m in bonuses; whilst the Belgian outfit would like €25m for the Brazilian. Wesley has been linked heavily with a move to Lazio since last summer but, in recent months, reported competition has emerged in the likes of Newcastle United, Arsenal and clubs from the Chinese Super League. However, it looks as though the Biancocelesti may be able to get the deal over the line.”
