Juventus set to sign Francisco Trincao

Juventus have reportedly made contact with Sporting Braga over a deal to sign Portugal international Francisco Trincao.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus are set to sign Sporting Braga forward Francisco Trincao.

The 19-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

Francisco Trincao is one of the brightest talents across Europe.

Trincao has represented Portugal at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning 30 caps and scoring 12 goals.

Massimiliano Allegri wants to sign a new forward and Trincao is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

Juventus have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

Allegri will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this winter and the Sporting Braga forward is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.

Francisco Trincao would provide a good variety to Juventus’s attack.

According to Calciomercato, “Juventus continue their pursuit of Trincao. In fact, there was a meeting between their sporting director, Paratici, and Jorge Mendes in Dubai today. Mendes is working as the intermediary between Juventus and Sporting Braga, which explains his involvement in the deal. The Bianconeri are eager to close the deal for the 19-year-old striker, having offered €15m although it would involve a loan with an option to buy. Inter are also interested in Trincao, although their offer is considerably lower: around €10m, although it would be a permanent move. However, the player has already given his consent to a Juve move, which is why the latter are accelerating the negotiations. Should Trincao arrive, then it’s likely that Kean will make way for the Portuguese, though the formula remains unknown as the Bianconeri are yet to decide this. ”

If Juventus are genuinely interested, a deal would not be impossible to complete.

Signing the 19-year-old in the winter transfer window would be a masterstroke from Allegri.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Juventus.
