The latest reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are looking to loan Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva.
City spent 50 million euros to sign the Portugal international from Monaco in the summer of 2017. The 27-year-old has four years left on his current contract which expires in 2025.
The playmaker has banged in one goal in 9 matches this term on all fronts.
He is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Portugal. Silva has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 8 goals in 62 senior appearances for the Portugal national team.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Juventus.
The report claims that Juventus manager has extensively scouted Bernardo Silva and is considering a move for the attacking midfielder. Max Allegri is a long term admirer of Silva and believes he can get the most out of the Portugal international.
He would be a versatile addition for the Juve, having featured at attacking midfielder and in a winger role. Silva has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Juventus are eager to make a move for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese playmaker has returned to his best form with Pep Guardiola’s side in the early part of this season. However, the midfielder made it clear he wished to leave the club during the last two summer transfer windows. According to Calciomercato, Juve are very keen on Bernardo as they aim to resurrect their season under returning coach Max Allegri. The 27-year-old could be the subject of January interest from the Turin giants, but any deal appears more likely to happen in the summer.”
