Inter Milan monitoring Sampdoria right-back Bartosz Bereszynski

There has been numerous right-backs linked with Nerazzurri in past few months.

Reports in the Italian media claim Inter Milan are monitoring Sampdoria right-back Bartosz Bereszynski.

The Poland international joined Sampdoria from Legia Warsaw for a fee in the region of 1.8 million euros in January 2017. His contract at Sampdoria is set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The right-back has provided two assists in 10 matches this term on all fronts.

The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Poland. The Sampdoria right-back has also represented the Poland at various youth levels before going on to secure 38 senior caps for his country thus far.

Bereszynski is set to be a man in demand in the winter transfer window, with a host of clubs queuing up to pursue his signature.

Simone Inzaghi wants to sign a new right-back and Bereszynski is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The report claims that Inter manager has extensively scouted Bereszynski and is considering a move for the right-back.

Nerazzurri are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

The right-back can also play as a full-back, offering Simone Inzaghi a different option should he change his formation at Inter Milan.

According to the report, “Sampdoria’s Bartosz Bereszynski is being monitored by Inter, with the Nerazzurri on the lookout for a new right wing-back. Simone Inzaghi will be looking for reinforcements in the January transfer window and director Beppe Marotta has recently confirmed that the Serie A champions will try to sign one or two players to match their coach’s ambitions. Among them, it’s a right wing-back with Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez still on the Nerazzurri’s radars. However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, Inter have also set their sights on Bartosz Bereszynski. The Poland international is a low-cost alternative to the Uruguay international who Inter tried to sign in the summer. Bereszynski’s contract expires in June 2023 and although the Sampdoria defender is not as young as Nandez, he is regarded as a valuable option on the right where Inter can already rely on Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries. The Dutchman joined Inter in the summer to replace Achraf Hakimi, but has yet to adapt to Serie A and is not a regular starter yet.”

If Inter can agree on a fee with Sampdoria, the deal should be easy to complete.

Sampdoria are preparing to sell their right-back should they receive right offer for him.

Good signing for Inter Milan?

If Bereszynski is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Inter Milan.

Inter in particular need to sort out a right-back for the next season and the 29-year-old could be a solid signing for them.

Bartosz Bereszynski has all the skillset required to be a success story at Inter. Therefore, it makes sense for Simone Inzaghi to step up his attempts to bring the Poland right-back to Serie A side.

It will be interesting to see if Nerazzurri are willing to pay the asking price for Bereszynski.
