There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Robin Gosens in the last period.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Inter Milan are monitoring Atalanta full-back Robin Gosens.

Gosens has scored 9 goals in 77 games for Atalanta since joining the club in 2017.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Inter Milan.

Inter Milan have built a reputation for recruiting talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

Robin Gosens is a long-term target of Inter and could be a decent addition for Antonio Conte’s side. His versatile nature can help the manager to be more flexible with the formations.

Inter are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, “Robin Gosens has been on Inter and Ausilio’s wish list for a long time and he continues to be there. In the meantime, he is proving to be one of the best full-backs in the league, playing very well under the guidance of Gasperini in the 3-5-2 formation. For Conte, it would be an upgrade to the left flank, as he currently relies on Asamoah Biraghi. Both from a physical and a technical point of view, there would be an improvement, and thus the Nerazzurri remain interested in the player. On the pitch as mentioned, the Atalanta man has certainly proved how good he is: 4 goals and 2 assists in 11 league games. Important numbers, considering that it’s almost as much as all of the full-backs at Inter (Asamoah, Biraghu, Lzaaro and Candreva). The Inter men have 2 goals (both by Candreva) and 5 assists. The San Siro side and Atalanta will talk about it, but there is also interest from the Premier League. Furthermore, Inter are considering other profiles on the market as well.”

Atalanta are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the full-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for Inter Milan.

It will be interesting to see whether Inter will make their move during the winter transfer window.
