Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala has emerged as a surprise target for Inter Milan in the winter transfer window, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian media.
The France international was signed by Manchester City in August 2014 from Porto for a fee of 30.5 million euros. The 27-year-old has a contract until 2019 with the club.
Mangala made 79 appearances across all competitions for Manchester City, supplying three assists in return.
Eliaquim Mangala has represented France at Under-21 level, winning 21 caps and scoring two goals, before making his senior international debut in June 2013. As a member of France national football team, Mangala won 8 caps.
Given that his contract is expiring in 7 months and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in recent weeks.
Mangala is out of the picture at Manchester City, which has opened the door for a potential exit.
