Galatasaray are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Oranje (via Algemeen Dagblad), ” Galatasaray have joined the race to sign Sparta Rotterdam forward Halil Dervisoglu. The 19-year-old winger has already been linked with both Trabzonspor and Besiktas this summer, but neither side was willing to meet Sparta Rotterdam’s asking price. Galatasaray have now entered the race for the Turkish youth international and held a meeting with a delegation from Sparta on Tuesday. Sparta Technical manager Henk van Stee from Sparta confirms the meeting to AD. “Yes, it is true that we had a conversation with Galatasaray today but, and I repeat that: there can only be serious talk about a transition when we receive an offer that we can live with. That has not happened so far. ” Sparta reportedly wants €2.5 million for Dervisoglu along with a resale percentage. ”

If Galatasaray are genuinely interested, a deal would not be impossible to complete.

The 19-year-old would be a very good addition for Galatasaray and they can afford him as well.

Galatasaray fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club this summer.

How strong that interest is and whether Galatasaray will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
